Weaving to Survive

This old lady weaves wool caps, it takes her three days to finish just one. Then sells them for barely two dollars a piece.

With the money she tries to buy her husband’s medicine. He suffers from diabetes. She’s a 65 year old Syrian refugee, who now lives in Lebanon. She meets her neighbors and weaves as they talk on and on.

She weaved wool caps, but then she stopped. Her joint and bone pain and her weak eyesight made her stop. The heroine of our story had a very simple chore. But her problem is major now that she weaves no more.
